1. Advanced Digital
Photographer’s Workbook
There are
numerous reasons why you might have this book in hand. We would like to rock
you out of your existing digital comfort zone and take you into a new zone full
of somewhat complex yet practical solutions for advanced photographers. As the
old saying goes, knowledge is power. We want you to increase your digital
imaging power by “taking it to the next level.” This digital imaging how-to
book comprises topics and information we deem critical to the future growth of
the advanced photographer. The first part of the book might be the toughest or
at least the “driest” one for you to get through, unless of course you are a
techno-geek who thrives on techno-chatter. Your ability to grasp what we have
to say in the rest of the book really depends on your having a solid
understanding of the topics presented in Part 1 Next we move to part-2, where
we take you through some fascinating enjoyable discussions on how we approach
lighting challenges in a digital context, the ins and outs of portraiture, the
new developments in digital macro- and infrared capture, and the omnipresent
allure of travel photography, that all-encompassing niche for eclectics. Part 3
takes us into the digital darkroom where we give you another stab at color
correction. Part 4 is devoted to the fine art studio, with an insider’s view of
how two fine art specialists produce their masterpieces. Finally in Part 5,
after you have worked your way through all the steps for creating breathtaking
color-managed images, we want you to tie down the components that will help
ensure your output matches what you originally saw and/or created. This e-book
contains 425 pages.

6. Hand book of
Photography
This
"Handbook of Photography" was born of the desire of the editors to
possess for their own use a comprehensive, authoritative reference work on
photography and its technical and scientific applications a reference text
having the directness, rigor, and authority which might be found, for example,
in the various engineering handbooks. A number of workers in the photographic
field, selected for their specialized
knowledge, have
cooperated in the preparation of material for this handbook. The work of the
editors has been largely that of planning, organizing, and editing the
individual manuscripts for each chapter, as well as of organizing the book as a
whole. This is in e-book format of an old Xeroxed book and contains 899 pages.

9.
Concise Focal Encyclopedia of
Photography and Photographic Possibilities
The
encyclopedia section of this e-book’s format was created to provide a
concise and comprehensive resource
sharing the breadth of photography at the time when both film and digital
practices co-mingled and users were firmly entrenched in both technologies. The
content was written in a narrative style to allow subjects to be explored from
both the theoretical and the applications perspectives. In a wide-ranging and open
manner, Photographic
Possibilities, the second part of this e-book, surveys what today’s
alternative image makers are actually doing in the field, something different
from the ordinary, in terms of apparatus, materials, processes, representation
concepts, and notions of creativity. Additionally, the text provides a
historical background. Photographic Possibilities is intrigued by how photography allows the
manifestation of personal realities by means of light-sensitive materials to
see beyond the fixed frame. This e-book contains 662 pages.

10. . Encyclopedia of Twentieth-Century
Photography (3 Volumes)
In these alphabetically arranged
volumes, Warren, along with 227 contributors, strives to "provide a useful
resource on the entire scope of photography in the twentieth century." The
set has an international reach, and 324 of its 525 entries cover people, mostly
photographers. The alphabetical and thematic lists of entries, set index, and a
10-page glossary are repeated in each volume. Less helpful is a list of
contributors without affiliations. Each volume also contains about 100
black-and-white photographs along with an 8-page glossy insert. Picture quality
is fair. Warren states, "This is a work of scholarship, a book intended to
be read rather than viewed," and some readers will be disappointed. The
Oxford Companion to the Photograph (2005) covers a longer time period, has more
than 1,600 entries, and reviews about 800 photographers and other persons.
However, most articles are much shorter and include fewer references. The
Encyclopedia of Twentieth-Century Photography should prove useful for academic
and larger public libraries. This e-book contains 1849 pages.
